Working for a better Canada

In our Filipino community, most of us work in two or even three jobs to meet our daily basic needs. In Ontario, the minimum wage is $11 dollars per hour. The Ontario government is raising it to $11.25 effective October 2015.

Studies show that to live decently, meaning having enough to meet the basic need for food, clothing and shelter, one has to earn at least $16/hour.
